Inspiration for my architectural and luxury series
Yes like everyone I need to be inspired. I like to take a break from all the struggles and strife and turn to others energy of creativity (including nature) to inspire my subject matter and calm my world. I bring in their colors, patterns, and sometimes even mimic materials used to show how I see their creation through my eyes and viewpoint. It also allows others to see it in another perspective.
Above I have shown the painting “Crossroads”. An example of how I may see the construction process and growth of a building. With the hard work of others and the way some of the materials work together, this is a new point of view, allowing others to appreciate and see differently. Construction paper-who would think this is a beautiful sunny color, outdoors working on a sunny day!
Then there is “Woodspring” the inspiration being the exterior of a hotel. It isn’t the most luxurious of hotels and serves a definite function but I saw a softer side and used the colors to show a place of rest.
Next is an interior design sample, rich in color, tall and stately decor. Btinging my imagination of being under the starts and lit with gems from the outside to the inside.
I give thanks to everyone for the inspirational projects. I appreciate all of you!
